MAY 2008

BACKGROUND: Slow Food Africa

The Cultures of Resistance Network is happy to share some of the feedback from our Slow Food partners in Africa. Here is a summary of some of the latest progress made in promoting local food production and distribution, and in the support of local food traditions.

Despite travel and security problems in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the local Slow Food convivium organized a series of educational activities in the Province of Nord-Kivu that were enthusiastically received by the local population. See here a few photos from their workshops and educational activities given for children and local fisherman in the region.
