International Crisis Group (ICG)

The International Crisis Group is now generally recognized as the world's leading independent, non-partisan source of analysis and advice to governments and intergovernmental bodies, such as the UN, EU, and World Bank, on the prevention and resolution of deadly conflict. ICG's approach is grounded in field research. Teams of political analysts are located in or near over 60 areas of actual or potential conflict around the world. Based on information and assessments from the field, the organization produces analytical reports containing practical recommendations targeted at key international decision-makers. ICG works closely with governments and those who influence them, including the media, to highlight its findings and generate support for its policy prescriptions.

Our foundation has been providing essential support to ICG's conflict resolution work, with a particular focus on the Middle East. With that support, ICG has launched a new global advocacy initiative, backed by 135 former world leaders and designed to generate new political momentum for a comprehensive settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
