La Federación Nacional de Mujeres Campesinas, Artesanas, Indígenas, Nativas y Asalariadas del Perú (National Federation of Peasant, Artisan, Indigenous, Native, and Salaried Women) is a nationwide federation of women’s organizations in Peru, comprising some 126,000 members. Their mission is “to fight to defend women’s rights, with dignity and without exploitation.” The organization is concerned with the ways in which environmental degradation, the erosion of food sovereignty, the marginalization of indigenous peoples, and poverty combine to disempower women.

The Cultures of Resistance network helped to support a FEMUCARINAP Congress that took place in Lima, Peru, in March 2009. The Congress drew 1,000 delegates from across the country and inaugurated the campaign “A Future Without Hunger For Women: Food Sovereignty Now."
