Center for Economic Research and Social Change (CERSC)

The Center for Economic Research and Social Change (CERSC) is dedicated to fostering a better understanding of today's world, and helping to put forward the vision of a better future. Our central goal is education. By highlighting alternative voices, especially those that have been pushed to the margins, CERSC hopes to increase awareness of the injustices that exist in society and the many grassroots efforts to right these wrongs. The Center's projects include the book publisher Haymarket Books, the International Socialist Review (ISR) magazine, and the annual Socialism educational conference.

ISR is a bimonthly magazine of political commentary and review, distributed in print to bookstores and newsstands around the country and also available online. The website offers many articles from the archive for free to visitors. With support from the Caipirinha Foundation, the magazine has commissioned or licensed articles from Amira Hass, John Pilger, Heather Rogers, Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy, and David Barsamian, and continues to commission essays in order to help sustain and support the work of contributors.
